Boiler servicing and repairs
Boiler system upgrades and accessories
When you choose to have your boiler installed by us, a magnetic filter, limescale filter, chemical flush and Hive thermostat are included as standard. We also offer additional upgrades to prolong the life of your boiler even further and maximise comfort and energy efficiency:
Inline Corrosion Guard: An inline corrosion guard, also known as a corrosion inhibitor, is a component installed in a boiler system to protect it from corrosion and internal damage. It works by releasing chemicals that prevent the formation of rust and corrosion within the pipes and boiler components. This helps extend the boiler’s lifespan and maintains its efficiency by preventing the accumulation of corrosion debris.
Mini Water Softener/Scale Reducer: A mini water softener or scale reducer is a device used to minimise the formation of limescale within a boiler system. It is particularly useful in areas with hard water, which contains high levels of minerals that can cause scale buildup. The mini water softener or scale reducer works by altering the chemical composition of the water, preventing the minerals from depositing as limescale. This can improve your boiler’s efficiency and reduce the need for maintenance and repairs.
Thermostatic Radiator Valves: Thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) are devices that can be attached to individual radiators within a heating system. They allow you to control the temperature of each radiator independently, providing greater control and energy efficiency. Some TRVs can also connect to smart thermostats such as Hive and Tado° to integrate them into a smart home system, with even greater control over home comfort and energy saving.
Magnetic Filter: A magnetic filter, also known as a magnetic system filter or boiler filter, is a component installed in a heating system to trap and remove debris. It consists of magnets that attract and capture metallic particles, preventing them from circulating and causing damage to the boiler and other system components. By removing debris and preventing blockages, a magnetic filter can help maintain the system’s efficiency, improve heat distribution, and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
Limescale Filter: A limescale filter is a device used to minimise limescale buildup within a boiler system, typically installed on the cold-water supply line entering the boiler. The filter contains materials that capture limescale, preventing it from accumulating on heat exchangers, pipes, and other components. By reducing limescale buildup, a limescale filter can improve the efficiency and performance of the boiler, as well as extend its lifespan.
Chemical Flush: A chemical flush, also known as a power flush or system flush, is a process performed during a boiler installation or maintenance to clean the heating system. It involves using chemicals and a high-velocity water flow to remove debris, sludge, and corrosion deposits that may have accumulated over time. A chemical flush helps improve water circulation, optimise system performance, and reduce the risk of boiler noise, cold spots, and reduced efficiency.
Investing in the right system accessories for your boiler installation can significantly enhance its efficiency, extend its lifespan, and ensure optimal performance. If you would like to add any additional accessories or services to your boiler installation, let us know when you make your booking.

From start to finish they both went above and beyond to keep me update on everything that was happening and took time to talk me through how to work the new system. Can’t thank them both enough my house has went from being very cold with storage heaters to lovely and warm. Thanks guys I will be recommending you to friends and family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stephen Docherty2024-02-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
