Harness clean and renewable energy with solar panels from Green Heat Scotland Solar. Our expert team offers reliable and efficient solar panel systems designed to maximise energy production and efficiency. By investing in solar panels, you can lower your energy bills, reduce your carbon footprint, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Solar panels allow you to generate electricity from the abundant and free energy of the sun. By converting sunlight into usable electricity, they provide a clean and sustainable alternative to traditional fossil fuels allowing you to power your home while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, taking an active role in combating climate change.
One of the most significant advantages of solar panels is the potential for substantial cost savings on your energy bills. By using the power of the sun, you can significantly reduce your reliance on the grid and generate your own clean energy. This means you’ll be less affected by rising energy costs and can enjoy greater energy independence. Imagine the peace of mind that comes with knowing your energy costs are stable and sustainable.

FAQs

In most cases, Planning Permission is not necessary, with the exception of historic/listed buildings. Solar panels fall into the category of ‘permitted development’ if they are for domestic use as long as they are no larger than 9 square metres in size and are no taller than the highest point of the roof.
It depends on the type of property you have, but for most, solar panels can be installed with our specialist scaffold towers, which can be erected and removed within the day of installation. This might happen the day on either side of installations for more complex jobs. Either way, we ensure it is done, causing as little disruption to your property as possible.
The majority of roofs can accommodate solar panels without the need for reinforcement. Our experienced team will assess your roof’s condition and determine compatibility during a structural survey. In the case of flat roofs, we have specially designed frames that can be installed at the correct angle for optimal daylight exposure.
If you take up our guarantee, we ask that you have your panels cleaned at least once a year. This is a minimal cost and can be done from the ground using poles similar to those used by window cleaners.
It is important to shop around energy suppliers to get the best deal for the energy you supply back to the grid. The Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) mandates that large energy companies must pay you for the energy you supply, and as of August 2023, around 15 suppliers are offering SEG rates. The rates vary substantially, with the lowest at 2p per kWh to 15p per kWh, and the average household can earn around £100-£140 per year.
